فِي رِوَايَةِ السَّكُونِيِ‌ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً ع قَضَى فِي رَجُلٍ أَقْبَلَ بِنَارٍ فَأَشْعَلَهَا فِي دَارِ قَوْمٍ فَاحْتَرَقَتِ الدَّارُ وَ احْتَرَقَ أَهْلُهَا وَ احْتَرَقَ مَتَاعُهُمْ قَالَ يُغَرَّمُ قِيمَةَ الدَّارِ وَ مَا فِيهَا ثُمَّ يُقْتَلُ‌[3].

I asked Imam (as) about a thief who entered upon a woman to steal her belongings. After gathering the clothes, his desires overcame him, and he violated her. When her son stirred, the thief struck him with an axe he had with him and killed him. After finishing, the thief carried the clothes and was about to leave when

سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ لِصٍّ دَخَلَ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ وَ هِيَ حُبْلَى فَقَتَلَ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا فَعَمَدَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى سِكِّينٍ فَوَجَأَتْهُ بِهِ فَقَتَلَتْهُ قَالَ هَدَرَ دَمُ اللِّصِ‌[3].

I asked Imam (as) about a thief who entered upon a pregnant woman and killed the child in her womb. The woman then took a knife and stabbed him, killing him. Imam (as) said: "The blood of the thief is void (without consequence)."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‌ فِي رَجُلٍ رَاوَدَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى نَفْسِهَا حَرَاماً فَرَمَتْهُ بِحَجَرٍ فَأَصَابَتْ مِنْهُ مَقْتَلًا قَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهَا شَيْ‌ءٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَهَا وَ بَيْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَإِنْ قُدِّمَتْ إِلَى إِمَامٍ عَدْلٍ أَهْدَرَ دَمَهُ.

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ رَجُلٍ شَجَّ رَجُلًا مُوضِحَةً وَ شَجَّهُ آخَرُ دَامِيَةً فِي مَقَامٍ وَاحِدٍ[1] فَمَاتَ الرَّجُلُ قَالَ عَلَيْهِمَا الدِّيَةُ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمَا نِصْفَيْنِ‌[2].

I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a man who was struck by one person with a muḍihah wound (a wound that exposes the bone) and by another person with a damiyah wound (a bleeding wound) in the same instance, and the man died. Imam (as) said: "The blood money is upon both of them, divided equally between their wealth."
