وَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع- لِلرِّيحِ رَأْسٌ وَ جَنَاحَانِ[1].

كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع بِالْعُرَيْضِ فَهَبَّتْ رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع يُكَبِّرُ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ التَّكْبِيرَ يَرُدُّ الرِّيحَ.
"I was with Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) in al-‘Urayd when a strong wind blew. Abu Ja'far (as) began to say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah (swt) is the Greatest) repeatedly, and then said: 'Indeed, saying Takbir (Allahu Akbar) repels the wind.'"
وَ قَالَ ع مَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ رِيحاً إِلَّا رَحْمَةً أَوْ عَذَاباً فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَقُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَ خَيْرَ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ لَهُ وَ نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَ شَرِّ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ لَهُ وَ كَبِّرُوا وَ ارْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ فَإِنَّهُ يَكْسِرُهَا.
Hadith.1519 - Imam (as) said: "Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, does not send any wind except as a mercy or as a punishment. When you see it (the wind), say, 'O’ Allah (swt), we ask You for its good and the good of what it was sent for, and we seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was sent for.'
لَا تَسُبُّوا الرِّيَاحَ فَإِنَّهَا مَأْمُورَةٌ وَ لَا الْجِبَالَ وَ لَا السَّاعَاتِ وَ لَا الْأَيَّامَ وَ لَا اللَّيَالِيَ فَتَأْثَمُوا وَ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكُمْ[3]
وَ قَالَ ع مَا خَرَجَتْ رِيحٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا بِمِكْيَالٍ[1] إِلَّا زَمَنَ عَادٍ فَإِنَّهَا عَتَتْ عَلَى خُزَّانِهَا فَخَرَجَتْ فِي مِثْلِ خَرْقِ الْإِبْرَةِ فَأَهْلَكَتْ قَوْمَ عَادٍ.
Hadith.1521 - Imam (as) said: "No wind ever blows except in measure, except during the time of the people of ‘Aad, for it broke loose against its keepers and came out like the eye of a needle, destroying the people of ‘Aad."
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ع عَنِ الرِّيَاحِ الْأَرْبَعِ الشَّمَالِ وَ الْجَنُوبِ وَ الصَّبَا وَ الدَّبُورِ[3] وَ قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الشَّمَالَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَ الْجَنُوبَ مِنَ النَّارِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ جُنُوداً مِنَ الرِّيحِ يُعَذِّبُ بِهَا مَنْ عَصَاهُ مُوَكَّلٌ بِكُلِّ رِيحٍ مِنْهُنَّ مَلَكٌ مُطَاعٌ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَنْ يُعَذِّبَ قَوْماً بِعَذَابٍ
I asked Abu Ja'far (as) about the four winds—the North wind (Shamal), the South wind (Janub), the East wind (Saba), and the West wind (Dabur). وَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع الرِّيَاحُ خَمْسَةٌ مِنْهَا الْعَقِيمُ فَنَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا.
Hadith.1524 - Imam Ali (as) said: "There are five types of wind, and among them is the barren wind (al-‘aqim), from whose harm we seek refuge in Allah (swt)."
وَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ص إِذَا هَبَّتْ رِيحٌ صَفْرَاءُ أَوْ حَمْرَاءُ أَوْ سَوْدَاءُ تَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُهُ وَ اصْفَرَّ لَوْنُهُ[1] وَ كَانَ كَالْخَائِفِ الْوَجِلِ حَتَّى تَنْزِلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ قَطْرَةٌ مِنْ مَطَرٍ فَيَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ لَوْنُهُ وَ يَقُولُ جَاءَتْكُمْ بِالرَّحْمَةِ.
Hadith.1525 - When a yellow, red, or black wind would blow, the Prophet (sw) would become visibly changed—his face would turn pale, and his color would change as if he were fearful and anxious. He would remain in this state until a drop of rain fell from the sky, at which point his color would return, and he would say,

وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ وَ بُرَيْدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ وَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالا إِذَا وَقَعَ الْكُسُوفُ أَوْ بَعْضُ هَذِهِ الْآيَاتِ صَلِّهَا مَا لَمْ تَتَخَوَّفْ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ وَقْتُ الْفَرِيضَةِ فَإِنْ تَخَوَّفْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْفَرِيضَةِ وَ اقْطَعْ مَا كُنْتَ فِيهِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْكُسُوفِ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ مِنَ الْفَرِيضَةِ فَارْجِعْ إِلَى حَيْثُ كُنْتَ قَطَعْتَ وَ احْتَسِبْ بِمَا
"When an eclipse or any of these celestial signs occurs, perform the prayer (Salat al-Kusuf) as long as you do not fear missing the time of an obligatory prayer. If you fear that the time of the obligatory prayer will pass, then begin with the obligatory prayer and interrupt your Salat al-Kusuf. Once you have completed
كَتَبْتُ إِلَى الرِّضَا ع- إِذَا انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَ الْقَمَرُ وَ أَنَا رَاكِبٌ لَا أَقْدِرُ عَلَى النُّزُولِ فَكَتَبَ ع إِلَيَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مَرْكَبِكَ الَّذِي أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ[4].
Hadith.1528 - It is reported from Ali ibn al-Fadl al-Wasiti that He said: "I wrote to Imam al-Ridha (as) asking about what to do if the sun or moon eclipses while I am riding and unable to dismount. He (as) wrote back to me saying, 'Pray on your mount, whatever you are on.'".

عَشْرُ رَكَعَاتٍ وَ أَرْبَعُ سَجَدَاتٍ تَرْكَعُ خَمْساً ثُمَّ تَسْجُدُ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ ثُمَّ تَرْكَعُ خَمْساً ثُمَّ تَسْجُدُ فِي الْعَاشِرَةِ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَرَأْتَ سُورَةً فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَرَأْتَ نِصْفَ سُورَةٍ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ سُورَةً فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ فَاقْرَأْ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ وَ إِنْ قَرَأْتَ نِصْفَ سُورَةٍ أَجْزَأَكَ أَنْ لَا تَقْرَأَ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا فِي
Hadith.1530 - Al-Halabi asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about the prayer for the eclipse (Salat al-Kusuf) of the sun and moon. Hadith.1531 - Umar ibn Udhaynah narrated: "The Qunoot (supplication) is to be recited in the second rak'ah before bowing (ruku), then in the fourth, sixth, eighth, and tenth rak'ahs."

Hadith.1532 - Hammad ibn Uthman narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) that during a discussion about the eclipse of the moon and the hardship that people endure because of it, He (Imam Al-Sadiq) said: "If a part of it (the moon) has cleared, then it has cleared”.
إِذَا حَضَرَتْ لَكَ حَاجَةٌ مُهِمَّةٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مُتَوَالِيَةٍ- الْأَرْبِعَاءَ وَ الْخَمِيسَ وَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فَاغْتَسِلْ وَ الْبَسْ ثَوْباً جَدِيداً ثُمَّ اصْعَدْ إِلَى أَعْلَى بَيْتٍ فِي دَارِكَ وَ صَلِّ فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ ارْفَعْ يَدَيْكَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي حَلَلْتُ بِسَاحَتِكَ لِمَع

إِنَّ بَنِي تَغْلِبَ[2] أَنِفُوا مِنَ الْجِزْيَةِ وَ سَأَلُوا عُمَرَ أَنْ يُعْفِيَهُمْ فَخَشِيَ أَنْ يَلْحَقُوا بِالرُّومِ فَصَالَحَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْ صَرَفَ ذَلِكَ عَنْ رُءُوسِهِمْ وَ ضَاعَفَ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّدَقَةَ فَرَضُوا بِذَلِكَ فَعَلَيْهِمْ مَا صَالَحُوا عَلَيْهِ وَ رَضُوا بِهِ إِلَى أَنْ يَظْهَرَ الْحَقُ[3]
إِنَّ النَّاسَ كُلَّهُمْ يَعِيشُونَ فِي فَضْلِ مَظْلِمَتِنَا إِلَّا أَنَّا أَحْلَلْنَا شِيعَتِنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ[2].
Hadith.1662 - It is narrated from Dawud ibn Kathir al-Riqqi that Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Indeed, all people live off the remnants of the injustice done to us, except that we have made it permissible for our Shia."
لَا تَحْصُدْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ لَا تَصْرِمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ لَا تَجُذَّ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ لَا تُضَحِّ بِاللَّيْلِ[5] وَ لَا تَبْذُرْ بِاللَّيْلِ لِأَنَّكَ تُعْطِي فِي الْبَذْرِ كَمَا تُعْطِي فِي الْحَصَادِ وَ مَتَى فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ بِاللَّيْلِ لَمْ يَحْضُرْكَ الْمَسَاكِينُ وَ السُّؤَّالُ وَ لَا الْقَانِعُ وَ لَا الْمُعْتَرُّ[6]
كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فِي أَرْضٍ لَهُ وَ هُمْ يَصْرِمُونَ فَجَاءَ سَائِلٌ يَسْأَلُ فَقُلْتُ اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُكَ فَقَالَ مَهْ لَيْسَ ذَاكَ لَكُمْ حَتَّى تُعْطُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَإِنْ أَعْطَيْتُمْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَكُمْ وَ إِنْ أَمْسَكْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ[1].

وَ سَمِعَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع رَجُلًا يَقُولُ الشَّحِيحُ أَعْذَرُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِ[4] فَقَالَ لَهُ كَذَبْتَ إِنَّ الظَّالِمَ قَدْ يَتُوبُ وَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ وَ يَرُدُّ الظُّلَامَةَ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا وَ الشَّحِيحُ إِذَا شَحَّ مَنَعَ الزَّكَاةَ وَ الصَّدَقَةَ وَ صِلَةَ الرَّحِمِ وَ إِقْرَاءَ الضَّيْفِ[5] وَ النَّفَقَةَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ أَبْوَابَ الْبِرِّ وَ حَرَامٌ عَلَى الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ يَدْخُلَه

قَالَ لِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ع يَوْماً يَا زُهْرِيُّ مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَ فَقُلْتُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ فَفِيمَ كُنْتُمْ قُلْتُ تَذَاكَرْنَا أَمْرَ الصَّوْمِ فَأَجْمَعَ رَأْيِي وَ رَأْيُ أَصْحَابِي عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنَ الصَّوْمِ شَيْءٌ وَاجِبٌ إِلَّا صَوْمُ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ يَا زُهْرِيُّ لَيْسَ كَمَا قُلْتُمْ الصَّوْمُ عَلَى أَرْبَعِينَ وَجْهاً فَعَشَرَةُ أَوْجُهٍ مِنْهَا وَاجِبَةٌ كَوُجُوبِ شَهْر

قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ- لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ عِيدٌ غَيْرُ الْعِيدَيْنِ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا حَسَنُ وَ أَعْظَمُهُمَا وَ أَشْرَفُهُمَا قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ فَأَيُّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ قَالَ هُوَ يَوْمٌ نُصِبَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع عَلَماً لِلنَّاسِ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ وَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْأَيَّامَ تَدُورُ وَ هُوَ يَوْمُ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ قَالَ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ وَ مَا يَنْبَغِي لَنَا أَنْ

وَ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْلِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع عِنْدَ رُؤْيَةِ الْهِلَالِ أَيُّهَا الْخَلْقُ الْمُطِيعُ الدَّائِبُ السَّرِيعُ[1] الْمُتَرَدِّدُ فِي فَلَكِ التَّدْبِيرِ الْمُتَصَرِّفُ فِي مَنَازِلِ التَّقْدِيرِ[2] آمَنْتُ بِمَنْ نَوَّرَ بِكَ الظُّلَمَ وَ أَضَاءَ بِكَ الْبُهَمَ[3] وَ جَعَلَكَ آيَةً مِنْ آيَاتِ سُلْطَانِهِ[4] وَ امْتَهَنَكَ بِالزِّيَادَةِ وَ النُّقْصَانِ[5] وَ الطُّلُوعِ وَ الْأُفُولِ وَ الْإِنَارَةِ

ادْعُ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ مُسْتَقْبِلَ دُخُولِ السَّنَةِ[1] وَ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ مَنْ دَعَا بِهِ مُحْتَسِباً مُخْلِصاً لَمْ تُصِبْهُ فِي تِلْكَ السَّنَةِ فِتْنَةٌ وَ لَا آفَةٌ فِي دِينِهِ وَ دُنْيَاهُ وَ بَدَنِهِ وَ وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ مَا يَأْتِي بِهِ فِي تِلْكَ السَّنَةِ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي دَانَ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ[2] وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَ بِع

قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْهِلَالَ فَأَفْطِرُوا أَوْ شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِ عَدْلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ[4] وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَرَوُا
Hadith.1911 - In the narration of Muhammad ibn Qays from Abu Ja'far (as), who said that Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as), said: "When you see the crescent, break your fast, or if a trustworthy Muslim testifies to seeing it, then break your fast. قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَا تَقُولُ فِي الِاعْتِكَافِ بِبَغْدَادَ فِي بَعْضِ مَسَاجِدِهَا قَالَ لَا تَعْتَكِفْ إِلَّا فِي مَسْجِدِ جَمَاعَةٍ قَدْ صَلَّى فِيهِ إِمَامٌ عَدْلٌ جَمَاعَةً وَ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يُعْتَكَفَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكُوفَةِ وَ الْبَصْرَةِ- وَ مَسْجِدِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَ مَسْجِدِ مَكَّةَ[1].
"I asked Abu Abdullah (as): 'What do you say about performing i'tikaf in Baghdad in some of its mosques?' Imam (as) replied: 'Do not perform i'tikaf except in a congregational mosque where a just Imam has led the congregation in prayer. There is no harm in performing i'tikaf in the mosque of Kufa, the mosque of Basra,
وَ مَنْ لَبَّى فِي إِحْرَامِهِ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً إِيمَاناً وَ احْتِسَاباً أَشْهَدَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ بِبَرَاءَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ بَرَاءَةٍ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ[1] وَ مَنِ انْتَهَى إِلَى الْحَرَمِ فَنَزَلَ وَ اغْتَسَلَ وَ أَخَذَ نَعْلَيْهِ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْحَرَمَ حَافِياً تَوَاضُعاً لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَحَا اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مِائَةَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَ بَنَ
Hadith.2141 - Whoever recites the Talbiyah seventy times during their state of Ihram with faith and sincere intention, Allah (swt) makes a thousand angels bear witness to their freedom from the Fire and freedom from hypocrisy. وَ قَالَ ع مَنْ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ بِسَكِينَةٍ وَ هُوَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَهَا غَيْرَ مُتَكَبِّرٍ وَ لَا مُتَجَبِّرٍ غُفِرَ لَهُ.
Hadith.2150 - Imam (as) said: "Whoever enters the Kaaba with tranquility, meaning they enter it without arrogance or oppression, will have their sins forgiven."
كُلُّ ظُلْمٍ إِلْحَادٌ وَ ضَرْبُ الْخَادِمِ فِي غَيْرِ ذَنْبٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْإِلْحَادِ[2].
Hadith.2329 - He (Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar) said: I asked him (Imam Abu Abdullah (as)) about the words of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic: "And whoever intends a deviation therein or wrongdoing, We will make him taste a painful punishment." (Surah Al-Hajj 22:25) Imam (as) replied: "Every act of injustice is a form of d
وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي اَلصَّبَّاحِ اَلْكِنَانِيِّ عَنْهُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ : «كُلُّ ظُلْمٍ يَظْلِمُهُ اَلرَّجُلُ نَفْسَهُ بِمَكَّةَ مِنْ سَرِقَةٍ أَوْ ظُلْمِ أَحَدٍ أَوْ شَيْءٍ مِنَ اَلظُّلْمِ فَإِنِّي أَرَاهُ إِلْحَاداً وَ لِذَلِكَ كَانَ يَتَّقِي اَلْفُقَهَاءُ أَنْ يَسْكُنُوا مَكَّةَ ».
Hadith.2330 - In a narration from Abu Al-Sabbah Al-Kinani, from him (Imam Abu Abdullah (as)): "Every act of injustice a person commits against himself in Mecca—be it theft, oppression of someone, or any form of wrongdoing—I consider it to be deviation (ilhad). For this reason, the jurists avoided residing in Mecca."
وَ رَوَى إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ اللُّقَطَةُ لُقَطَتَانِ لُقَطَةُ الْحَرَمِ تُعَرِّفُ سَنَةً فَإِنْ وَجَدْتَ صَاحِبَهَا وَ إِلَّا تَصَدَّقْتَ بِهَا وَ لُقَطَةُ غَيْرِ الْحَرَمِ تُعَرِّفُهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا وَ إِلَّا فَهِيَ كَسَبِيلِ مَالِكَ[2].
"There are two types of lost property (luqata). As for the lost property of the Haram, you must announce it for one year. If you find its owner, return it; otherwise, give it in charity. As for lost property outside the Haram, announce it for one year. If its owner comes, return it; otherwise, it becomes like your own
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الرَّفِيقَ ثُمَّ السَّفَرَ[1].
Hadith.2436 - Al-Sakuni narrated with his chain of transmission that the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon him and his family) said: "First the companion, then the journey."
مَا اصْطَحَبَ اثْنَانِ إِلَّا كَانَ أَعْظَمُهُمَا أَجْراً وَ أَحَبُّهُمَا إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَرْفَقَهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ[2]
وَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع لَا تَصْحَبَنَّ فِي سَفَرٍ مَنْ لَا يَرَى لَكَ مِنَ الْفَضْلِ عَلَيْهِ كَمَا تَرَى لَهُ عَلَيْكَ[3].
Hadith.2438 - Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said: "Do not accompany in travel anyone who does not regard you with the same esteem that you regard them."
مِنَ السُّنَّةِ إِذَا خَرَجَ الْقَوْمُ فِي سَفَرٍ أَنْ يُخْرِجُوا نَفَقَتَهُمْ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَطْيَبُ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَ أَحْسَنُ لِأَخْلَاقِهِمْ[4]
كَانَ يَقُولُ اصْحَبْ مَنْ تَتَزَيَّنُ بِهِ[5] وَ لَا تَصْحَبْ مَنْ يَتَزَيَّنُ بِكَ.
"Accompany those who add to your virtue, and do not accompany those who seek to gain virtue from you."
لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَدْ عَرَفْتَ حَالِي وَ سَعَةَ يَدِي وَ تَوْسِيعِي عَلَى إِخْوَانِي فَأَصْحَبُ النَّفَرَ مِنْهُمْ فِي طَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ فَأُوَسِّعُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ لَا تَفْعَلْ يَا شِهَابُ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ بَسَطْتَ وَ بَسَطُوا أَجْحَفْتَ بِهِمْ[1] وَ إِنْ هُمْ أَمْسَكُوا أَذْلَلْتَهُمْ فَاصْحَبْ نُظَرَاءَكَ اصْحَبْ نُظَرَاءَكَ[2].
Hadith.2441 - Shihab ibn Abd Rabbih narrated: I said to Abu Abdullah (as): "You know my situation, my financial capacity, and how I spend generously on my brothers. Sometimes I accompany a group of them on the road to Mecca and provide generously for them." Imam (as) said: "Do not do that, O Shihab. If you are generous
إِذَا صَحِبْتَ فَاصْحَبْ نَحْوَكَ وَ لَا تَصْحَبْ مَنْ يَكْفِيكَ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مَذَلَّةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ[3]
وَ رَوَى أَبُو خَدِيجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ الْبَائِتُ فِي الْبَيْتِ وَحْدَهُ شَيْطَانٌ وَ الِاثْنَانِ لُمَةٌ وَ الثَّلَاثَةُ أُنْسٌ[4].
"The one who spends the night alone in the house is a devil; two are a gathering of whisperers; and three bring companionship."
أَحَبُّ الصَّحَابَةِ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَ مَا زَادَ قَوْمٌ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ إِلَّا كَثُرَ لَغَطُهُمْ[5]
حَقُّ الْمُسَافِرِ أَنْ يُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ إِخْوَانُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ ثَلَاثاً[6]
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا مِنْ نَفَقَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ نَفَقَةِ قَصْدٍ وَ يُبْغِضُ الْإِسْرَافَ إِلَّا فِي حَجٍّ أَوْ عُمْرَةٍ[7].
The Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon him and his family) said: "There is no spending more beloved to Allah (swt) than moderate spending. He dislikes extravagance, except in Hajj or Umrah."
قَالَ وَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ رَبَطَ فَرَساً عَتِيقاً مُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ عَشْرُ سَيِّئَاتٍ[2] وَ كُتِبَتْ لَهُ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ حَسَنَةً فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَ مَنِ ارْتَبَطَ هَجِيناً[3] مُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ سَيِّئَتَانِ وَ كُتِبَتْ لَهُ تِسْعُ حَسَنَاتٍ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ وَ مَنِ ارْتَبَطَ بِرْذَوْناً[4] يُرِيدُ بِهِ جَمَالًا أَوْ قَضَاءَ حَاجَةٍ أَوْ دَفْعَ عَدُوٍّ مُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ سَيِّئَة
Hadith.2461 - And I heard him (Imam (as)) say: "Whoever keeps a noble horse (‘atiq), ten sins are erased from them and eleven good deeds are written for them every day. Whoever keeps a mixed-breed horse (hajin), two sins are erased and nine good deeds are written for them every day. Whoever keeps a workhorse (bardhawn)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِلدَّابَّةِ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا خِصَالٌ يَبْدَأُ بِعَلْفِهَا إِذَا نَزَلَ وَ يَعْرِضُ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ إِذَا مَرَّ بِهِ وَ لَا يَضْرِبُ وَجْهَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهَا وَ لَا يَقِفُ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا إِلَّا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ لَا يُحَمِّلُهَا فَوْقَ طَاقَتِهَا وَ لَا يُكَلِّفُهَا مِنَ الْمَشْيِ إِلَّا مَا تُطِيقُ.
Hadith.2465 - Isma‘il ibn Abi Ziyad narrated with his chain of transmission that the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon him and his family) said: "A mount has certain rights upon its owner: - Begin by feeding it when you dismount. - Offer it water when you pass by a source. - Do not st
وَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَتَى أَضْرِبُ دَابَّتِي تَحْتِي قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ تَمْشِ تَحْتَكَ كَمَشْيِهَا إِلَى مِذْوَدِهَا[3].
Hadith.2466 - A man asked Abu Abdullah (as): "When is it permissible for me to strike the animal I am riding?" Imam (as) replied: "When it does not walk under you as it would walk toward its feeding trough."
