مَنْ قَالَ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ- الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمِينَ* فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ يَوْمِهِ وَ مَنْ قَالَهَا إِذَا أَمْسَى فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ لَيْلَتِهِ.

“Whoever says four times in the morning, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds,’ has completed his thanksgiving for that day and if one does the same thing in the evening he has completed his thanksgiving for the night.’”

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‌ أَحْسِنُوا جِوَارَ النِّعَمِ قُلْتُ وَ مَا حُسْنُ جِوَارِ النِّعَمِ قَالَ الشُّكْرُ لِمَنْ أَنْعَمَ بِهَا وَ أَدَاءُ حُقُوقِهَا.

‘Keep good neighborly relations with bounties/ I then asked, ‘How is that done?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Thank the One who has granted bounties and pay the rights due on the bounties/”

His son then went to buy a man from his earnings and set him free on behalf of his father; the freed man earned an asset and then died; and about to whom belongs his legacy? He (the Imam) said, ‘
