قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‌ الْإِحْرَامُ مِنْ مَوَاقِيتَ خَمْسَةٍ وَقَّتَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لَا يَنْبَغِي لِحَاجٍّ وَ لَا لِمُعْتَمِرٍ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ قَبْلَهَا وَ لَا بَعْدَهَا وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَ هُوَ مَسْجِدُ الشَّجَرَةِ[1] يُصَلَّى فِيهِ وَ يُفْرَضُ فِيهِ الْحَجَّ وَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ الْعَقِيقَ وَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الطَّائِفِ قَرْنَ

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Mawaqit (places for assuming the state of Ihram) are five, which were designated as Miqat by the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. “I once wrote to abu al-Hassan al-Rida’ ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘Certain people of your followers from Basrah assume the state of Ihram at Batn al-‘Aqiq. There is no water at that place or station. It makes things very difficult for them, their companions rush them as well as camel men. Fifteen miles after that place

قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَمَتَّعَ‌ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِ‌ فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ قَالَ تَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَمَتَّعَ‌ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِ‌ عَلَى كِتَابِكَ وَ سُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ ص وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَضْمَرْتَ الَّذِي تُرِيدُ.

‘Whoever says Talbiyah seventy times out of belief and considering it a good deed Allah makes a million angels to bear witness to his freedom from the fire and hypocrisy.’”

دَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَ أَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ مَسَائِلَ كَثِيرَةٍ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُهُ عَظُمَ عَلَيَّ كَلَامُهُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ نَاوِلْنِي يَدَكَ أَوْ رِجْلَكَ أُقَبِّلُهَا فَنَاوَلَنِي يَدَهُ فَقَبَّلْتُهَا فَذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص فَدَمَعَتْ عَيْنَايَ فَلَمَّا رَآنِي مُطَأْطِئاً رَأْسِي قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا مِنْ طَائِفٍ يَطُوفُ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ حَاسِراً عَنْ ر

“I once visited the virtuous servant of Allah to ask him a great many questions. When I saw him, his words impressed me a great deal. I requested him to allow me to hold his hand or his foot to kiss. He allowed me to hold his hand, I kissed his hand and at this time I remembered the words of the Messenger of Allah, O A

سَأَلْتُهُ‌[1] عَنْ حَدِّ الطَّوَافِ بِالْبَيْتِ الَّذِي مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ طَائِفاً بِالْبَيْتِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّاسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص يَطُوفُونَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَ الْمَقَامِ وَ أَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ تَطُوفُونَ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَقَامِ وَ بَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَكَانَ الْحَدُّ مَوْضِعَ الْمَقَامِ الْيَوْمَ فَمَنْ جَازَهُ فَلَيْسَ بِطَائِفٍ وَ الْحَدُّ قَبْلَ الْيَوْمِ وَ الْيَوْمَ وَاحِدٌ قَدْرَ مَا بَيْن

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the limits of the area for Tawaf around the House and the point beyond which Tawaf is not considered as Tawaf around the House. شَهِدْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع وَ هُوَ يُطَافُ بِهِ حَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ فِي مَحْمِلٍ وَ هُوَ شَدِيدُ الْمَرَضِ فَكَانَ كُلَّمَا بَلَغَ الرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَّ أَمَرَهُمْ فَوَضَعُوهُ بِالْأَرْضِ فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ كَوَّةِ الْمَحْمِلِ حَتَّى يَجُرَّهَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ ارْفَعُونِي فَلَمَّا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ مِرَاراً فِي كُلِّ شَوْطٍ قُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا يَشُقُّ

“I saw abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), being carried for Tawaf around al-Ka‘bah in a carriage and he was seriously ill. Whenever he would reach al-Yemaniy corner he commanded to place him on the ground, and he would extend his hand from the carriage and pull it on the ground then say, ’Lift me up.’ When he did so many times in

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‌ إِذَا فَرَغْتَ مِنْ طَوَافِكَ فَائْتِ مَقَامَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ع فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ اجْعَلْهُ أَمَاماً[2] وَ اقْرَأْ فِي الْأُولَى مِنْهُمَا- سُورَةَ التَّوْحِيدِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ وَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ قُلْ يا أَيُّهَا الْكافِرُونَ‌ ثُمَّ تَشَهَّدْ وَ احْمَدِ اللَّهَ وَ أَثْنِ عَلَيْهِ وَ صَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ص وَ اسْأَلْهُ أَنْ يَتَقَبَّلَ مِنْكَ وَ هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ هُمَ
