قَرَأْتُ كِتَابَ أَبِي‌ الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع‌ أَبْلِغْ شِيعَتِي أَنَّ زِيَارَتِي تَعْدِلُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى أَلْفَ حَجَّةٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَهُ ع أَلْفَ حَجَّةٍ قَالَ إِي وَ اللَّهِ وَ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَجَّةٍ لِمَنْ زَارَهُ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ‌[1].

I read the letter of Abu al-Hasan al-Ridha (as) which stated: "Convey to my Shia that my visitation is equivalent before Allah (swt), the Exalted, to one thousand Hajj."
